Hello, everyone. In Japan, spring means cherry blossoms, or sakura. Today, I'll tell you how we enjoy this special season.
皆さん、こんにちは。日本では、春といえば桜です。今日は、私たちがこの特別な季節をどう楽しんでいるかをお話しします。
02When They Bloom
In Tokyo, cherry blossoms usually bloom from late March to early April. They only last for about one or two weeks, so everyone hurries to see them.
東京では、桜はたいてい3月下旬から4月上旬に咲きます。1、2週間くらいしかもたないので、みんな急いで見に行きます。
03Hanami
The most popular activity is hanami. It means flower viewing. People have picnics under the trees with food and friends.
一番人気なのは、お花見です。花を眺めることです。人々は、食べ物を持って友達と一緒に、木の下でピクニックをします。
04At Night
At night, many parks put lights on the trees. The pink flowers look beautiful in the dark.
夜には、多くの公園で桜がライトアップされます。暗やみの中のピンク色の花は、とてもきれいです。
