  1. 01Read Out Loud

Hi, everyone. I'm a nursing student from Turkey. A year ago, I could read English well, but I couldn't speak smoothly. Then I started reading out loud every day. Today, I want to recommend this habit to you.

  2. 02Reason 1: Your Mouth Gets Practice

The first reason is that your mouth gets practice. Speaking is partly physical. When you read aloud, you train your mouth to make English sounds without thinking too hard.

  3. 03Reason 2: You Learn Natural Phrases

Second, you learn natural phrases. When you say a sentence many times, phrases like "to be honest" or "it turns out" stay in your memory. Later, they come out naturally when you speak.

  4. 04Reason 3: It's Easy to Start

Third, it's easy to start. You don't need a partner, a teacher, or an app. All you need is a text and ten minutes a day.

  5. 05How to Do It

Here's how I do it. I choose a short text that also has audio. First, I listen once. Then I read it aloud three times, trying to copy the rhythm and stress.

  6. 06A Tip: Record Yourself

One more tip: record yourself on your phone once a week. It feels strange at first, but you'll hear your progress clearly. I was surprised by my own recordings after three months.

  7. 07Conclusion

In conclusion, reading out loud is simple, free, and it really works for me. Why not try ten minutes tonight? You can even start with this presentation. Thank you.
