01More Cameras on Our Streets: Safer or Too Much?
Good evening, everyone. Our town council is thinking about putting more security cameras on our streets. People have strong feelings about this, so tonight I'd like to look at both sides.
02The Plan
The plan is simple. The council wants to add cameras near the station and in the main park, where many people walk at night.
03Supporters Say: We'll Feel Safer
Supporters say cameras will help people feel safer, especially when they walk home late. If something bad happens, the police can check the video.
04Critics Say: What About Privacy?
On the other hand, critics worry about privacy. They don't like the feeling of always being watched, and they ask an important question: who can see the video, and for how long?
05Side by Side
When we put the two views side by side, we can see that both sides care about the same thing: a town where people feel comfortable.
06My View: Yes, With Clear Rules
In my view, a few cameras are fine, but only with clear rules. Put them only in busy places, delete the video after a short time, and tell residents exactly who can see it.
07Conclusion
To sum up, this is not a choice between safety and privacy. With good rules, we can have both. Please share your opinion at the next town meeting. Thank you.
