   Good evening, everyone. I've made pottery as a hobby for years. Last year, friends kept saying, "You should sell these!" So I opened a small online shop. Today, I'll share the pros and cons of turning a hobby into a side job.

   大家晚安。我把做陶當成興趣已經好幾年了。去年，朋友們一直跟我說：「你應該拿去賣！」所以我開了一間小小的網路商店。今天，我要分享把興趣變成副業的優缺點。

2. 02Pro: Extra Income

   The most obvious advantage is money. My shop now pays for my clay, tools, and studio time. My hobby went from costing money to paying for itself.

   最明顯的好處是錢。現在我的網店可以支付陶土、工具和工作室的費用。我的興趣從原本要花錢，變成可以自己養活自己。

3. 03Pro: Confidence and Connection

   There's also a less obvious benefit: confidence. When a stranger buys something you made, it's an amazing feeling. I've also connected with other potters and customers around the country.

   還有一個比較不明顯的好處：自信。當陌生人買下你親手做的東西，那種感覺真的很棒。我也因此認識了全國各地的其他陶藝創作者和顧客。

4. 04Con: Fun Becomes Pressure

   However, there's a hidden cost. Once people were paying, my hobby started to feel like work. I had deadlines, and I began making what sells instead of what I love.

   不過，這也有隱藏的代價。一旦有人付錢，我的興趣就開始感覺像工作。我有了截止日期，也開始做賣得好的東西，而不是我喜歡的東西。

5. 05Con: The Business Side

   There's also the business side. Taking photos, writing descriptions, packing orders, and answering messages take up a surprising amount of time, and none of it is pottery.

   還有經營面的事情。拍照、寫商品介紹、包貨、回訊息，這些花掉的時間多到讓人驚訝，而且沒有一件是在做陶。

6. 06What I Changed

   To protect the fun, I made two rules. I only open my shop for two weeks each month, and I always keep one project that's just for me and will never be sold.

   為了保住樂趣，我給自己訂了兩個規則。我每個月只開店兩個星期，而且一定會保留一件只屬於自己、永遠不賣的作品。

7. 07Who Should Try It?

   So who should try it? If you enjoy the business side, like marketing and talking to customers, go for it. But if your hobby is your escape from stress, think carefully before you turn it into another job.

   那麼，誰適合試試看呢？如果你喜歡經營面的事，像是行銷和跟顧客聊天，那就放手去做吧。但如果興趣是你逃離壓力的出口，在把它變成另一份工作之前，請好好想一想。

   In the end, turning a hobby into a side job can be rewarding, but only if you protect the reason you started. Earn from your hobby if you like, but don't let it stop being fun. Thank you.
