1. 01Package Tours vs. Planning Your Own Trip

   Good afternoon, everyone. Among my friends, package tours have a bad reputation. They say real travelers plan everything themselves. But last year, I took my parents on a package tour to Morocco, and it changed my mind. Today, I'll try to compare the two fairly.

   大家午安。在我的朋友之間，跟團旅遊的名聲不太好。他們說，真正的旅人都是自己規劃一切。可是去年，我帶爸媽跟團去了摩洛哥，結果改變了我的想法。今天，我想試著公平地比較這兩種方式。

2. 02Planning and Stress

   Let's start with planning. With a package tour, flights, hotels, and transport are arranged for you. Planning my own trip, on the other hand, can mean many hours of research and a few stressful surprises.

   先從規劃開始說。跟團的話，機票、飯店和交通都有人幫你安排好。相反地，自己規劃旅行，可能要花好幾個小時查資料，還會碰到一些讓人頭痛的意外。

3. 03Freedom

   Freedom is where independent travel clearly wins. When I plan my own trip, I can stay longer in places I love and skip things I don't care about. On a tour, you follow the group's schedule, even when you'd rather stay.

   在自由這一點上，自助旅行明顯勝出。自己規劃時，我可以在喜歡的地方多待一點時間，沒興趣的就跳過。跟團的話，就算你想多留一下，也只能照團體的行程走。

4. 04Access and Safety

   What surprised me was access. Our local guide took us to a family home in a mountain village that I could never have found alone. Tours can also feel safer in places where you don't speak the language.

   讓我驚訝的是能去的地方。我們的當地導遊帶我們到山村裡一戶人家的家中，那是我自己絕對找不到的地方。在語言不通的地方，跟團也會讓人比較安心。

5. 05Cost

   Cost is more complicated than people think. Independent travel is often cheaper, especially if you're flexible. But tours can sometimes include group discounts on hotels and transport, so it's worth comparing the real total.

   費用比大家想的還要複雜。自助旅行通常比較便宜，尤其是時間有彈性的時候。不過，跟團有時候能拿到飯店和交通的團體優惠，所以值得比較一下實際的總花費。

6. 06Side by Side

   When I put them side by side, it's clear that neither is simply better. They're tools for different kinds of trips.

   把兩者放在一起比較，就會發現沒有哪一種是絕對比較好的。它們是適合不同旅行的工具。

7. 07Who Should Choose What

   My advice depends on the traveler. For a first trip to a very different culture, or when traveling with older family members, a tour can be a smart choice. Experienced, flexible travelers will enjoy planning their own trip. And you can mix both: book a short tour for one part of your trip.

   我的建議要看是什麼樣的旅人。如果是第一次去文化差異很大的地方，或是跟年長的家人一起出遊，跟團可能是聰明的選擇。有經驗、時間有彈性的旅人，會很享受自己規劃行程。你也可以兩種混搭：在旅程中的一段報名短程的團。

   In the end, the right choice isn't about looking like a "real traveler." It's about what makes this particular trip work for you and the people you travel with. Thank you.
