   Hi, everyone. I'm a college student in São Paulo. Last semester, my phone battery kept dying before lunch. Today, I'll share how I found the problem and fixed it.

   Hola a todos. Soy estudiante universitario en São Paulo. El semestre pasado, la batería de mi teléfono se agotaba antes del almuerzo. Hoy les voy a contar cómo encontré el problema y cómo lo solucioné.

2. 02The Problem

   Here's what happened. My phone was fully charged when I left home, but by noon it was almost empty. I couldn't use maps or even call my family.

   Esto es lo que pasaba. Mi teléfono estaba completamente cargado cuando salía de casa, pero al mediodía ya estaba casi sin batería. No podía usar los mapas ni siquiera llamar a mi familia.

3. 03Finding the Cause

   First, I checked the battery settings. I was surprised to see that one video app was using most of my battery, even when I wasn't watching anything.

   Primero, revisé la configuración de la batería. Me sorprendió ver que una aplicación de videos estaba usando la mayor parte de la batería, incluso cuando yo no estaba viendo nada.

4. 04Fix 1: Stop Background Apps

   The first fix was to stop apps from running in the background. I turned off background activity for apps I only use sometimes.

   La primera solución fue impedir que las aplicaciones funcionaran en segundo plano. Desactivé la actividad en segundo plano de las aplicaciones que solo uso de vez en cuando.

5. 05Fix 2: Change Screen Settings

   The second fix was the screen. I lowered the brightness, switched to dark mode, and made the screen turn off after thirty seconds.

   La segunda solución fue la pantalla. Bajé el brillo, activé el modo oscuro e hice que la pantalla se apagara después de treinta segundos.

6. 06The Result

   After these changes, my battery lasts until the evening. I didn't need a new phone, and I didn't spend any money.

   Después de estos cambios, mi batería dura hasta la noche. No necesité un teléfono nuevo y no gasté nada de dinero.

   In conclusion, a dying battery doesn't always mean you need a new phone. Check your settings first. It only takes five minutes. Thank you.
