   Hi, everyone. I'm a college student in São Paulo. Last semester, my phone battery kept dying before lunch. Today, I'll share how I found the problem and fixed it.

   皆さん、こんにちは。私はサンパウロの大学生です。前の学期、スマホの電池がお昼前に切れてばかりいました。今日は、どうやって原因を見つけて直したかを紹介します。

2. 02The Problem

   Here's what happened. My phone was fully charged when I left home, but by noon it was almost empty. I couldn't use maps or even call my family.

   こういうことでした。家を出るときは満充電だったのに、お昼にはほとんど空っぽでした。地図も使えず、家族に電話することさえできませんでした。

3. 03Finding the Cause

   First, I checked the battery settings. I was surprised to see that one video app was using most of my battery, even when I wasn't watching anything.

   まず、電池の設定を確かめました。驚いたことに、何も見ていないときでも、ある動画アプリが電池のほとんどを使っていたのです。

4. 04Fix 1: Stop Background Apps

   The first fix was to stop apps from running in the background. I turned off background activity for apps I only use sometimes.

   一つ目の対策は、アプリが裏で動き続けないようにすることでした。たまにしか使わないアプリは、バックグラウンドでの動作をオフにしました。

5. 05Fix 2: Change Screen Settings

   The second fix was the screen. I lowered the brightness, switched to dark mode, and made the screen turn off after thirty seconds.

   二つ目の対策は、画面です。明るさを下げて、ダークモードに切りかえ、30秒で画面が消えるようにしました。

6. 06The Result

   After these changes, my battery lasts until the evening. I didn't need a new phone, and I didn't spend any money.

   こうした変更のあと、電池は夜までもつようになりました。新しいスマホは必要ありませんでしたし、お金も一円も使いませんでした。

   In conclusion, a dying battery doesn't always mean you need a new phone. Check your settings first. It only takes five minutes. Thank you.
