1. 01Big Company vs. Small Startup

   Hi, everyone. I'm a software engineer from India. I worked at a large tech company for three years, and then at a startup with only twelve people. Today, I'll compare the two.

   皆さん、こんにちは。私はインド出身のソフトウェアエンジニアです。大きなIT企業で3年間働き、そのあと社員がたった12人のスタートアップで働きました。今日は、二つを比べてみます。

2. 02Training and Support

   Let's start with training. At the big company, I had a clear training program and a mentor. At the startup, on the other hand, I learned by doing, and I often had to figure things out alone.

   まずは、研修から始めましょう。大企業には、はっきりした研修の仕組みとメンターがいました。一方、スタートアップでは、やりながら学び、一人で何とかしなければならないことがよくありました。

3. 03Responsibility

   The biggest difference was responsibility. At the big company, I worked on one small part of a huge product. At the startup, I built features, talked to customers, and even helped with hiring.

   一番の違いは、責任でした。大企業では、巨大な製品のほんの小さな部分を担当していました。スタートアップでは、機能を作り、お客さんと話し、採用の手伝いまでしました。

4. 04Stability

   Of course, stability was very different too. The big company felt safe, while the startup was exciting but risky. Some months, we weren't sure the company would survive.

   もちろん、安定性もまったく違いました。大企業は安心できましたが、スタートアップはわくわくする一方で、危うさもありました。会社が生き残れるか分からない月もありました。

5. 05Side by Side

   Here they are side by side. Compared to the big company, the startup gave me less support but many more chances to grow.

   二つを並べるとこうなります。大企業に比べて、スタートアップは支えが少ない代わりに、成長するチャンスがずっと多くありました。

6. 06Where I Learned More

   So, where did I learn more? Honestly, at the startup. But I could only do well there because the big company taught me good habits first.

   では、どちらでより多く学んだのでしょうか？正直に言うと、スタートアップです。でも、そこでうまくやれたのは、まず大企業が良い習慣を教えてくれたからでした。

   In conclusion, both places have value. If you're starting your career, a big company can give you a strong base, and a startup can help you grow fast later. Thank you.
