   Hello, everyone. Last month, I went to a concert, and during my favorite song, all I could see was a sea of phone screens. It made me ask: should phones be banned at concerts? Let's look at both sides.

   皆さん、こんにちは。先月、コンサートに行ったら、大好きな曲の間、見えたのはスマホの画面の海だけでした。それで考えました。コンサートでスマホは禁止すべきでしょうか？両方の意見を見ていきましょう。

2. 02For a Ban: Enjoy the Moment

   Some fans say a ban would help everyone enjoy the moment. Instead of watching the show through a small screen, people would actually watch the artist.

   禁止すればみんながその瞬間を楽しめる、と言うファンもいます。小さな画面越しにショーを見るのではなく、実際にアーティストを見るようになる、というのです。

3. 03For a Ban: Better for Others

   They also say phones bother other people. When someone holds a phone up high, the people behind them can't see the stage.

   スマホはほかの人の迷惑になる、とも言います。だれかがスマホを高く掲げると、その後ろの人にはステージが見えません。

4. 04Against a Ban: Keeping Memories

   Others argue that phones help us keep memories. A short video lets you relive a special night, and share it with friends who couldn't come.

   一方で、スマホは思い出を残すのに役立つ、と主張する人もいます。短い動画があれば、特別な夜をもう一度味わえますし、来られなかった友達とも分かち合えます。

5. 05Against a Ban: Safety

   There's also safety. At a big concert, you may need your phone to find your friends or contact your family.

   安全の問題もあります。大きなコンサートでは、友達を見つけたり、家族に連絡したりするのにスマホが必要になるかもしれません。

6. 06My View: Phones Down for One Song

   In my view, a full ban is too much. But I like the idea of one song with phones down. The artist could ask everyone to put their phones away and just listen together.

   私の考えでは、完全に禁止するのはやりすぎです。でも、1曲だけスマホを下ろすというアイデアはいいと思います。アーティストがみんなにスマホをしまうようお願いして、ただ一緒に聞くのです。
