1. 01Hostel or Hotel?

   Hi, everyone. I'm a nurse from Manila, and I use my vacation time to travel around Asia. Before every trip, I have to decide: hostel or hotel? Today, I'll compare the two.

   大家好。我是來自馬尼拉的一名護士，我會利用假期在亞洲各地旅行。每次出發前，我都得做個決定：住青年旅舍還是住酒店？今天，我來比較一下這兩者。

2. 02Price

   Let's start with price. A bed in a hostel is usually much cheaper than a hotel room, especially in big cities. That saves money for food and activities.

   我們先從價格說起。青年旅舍的一張床位通常比酒店的一個房間便宜得多，尤其是在大城市。這樣就能省下錢來吃飯和參加活動。

3. 03Privacy and Sleep

   On the other hand, hotels are better for privacy and sleep. In a hostel, you often share a room with strangers, and someone may come back late at night.

   另一方面，在隱私和睡眠方面，酒店更好。在青年旅舍，你常常要和陌生人同住一個房間，而且可能有人深夜才回來。

4. 04Meeting People

   The biggest advantage of hostels is people. There are shared kitchens and common rooms, so it's easy to meet other travelers. In hotels, it's much harder to start a conversation.

   青年旅舍最大的優勢在於人。那裡有公用廚房和公共休息室，所以很容易認識其他旅行者。在酒店裡，要和別人搭話就難多了。

5. 05Side by Side

   Here they are side by side. Neither is always better; it depends on what you need from the trip.

   這是兩者的對比。沒有哪一個總是更好，要看你這次旅行需要什麼。

6. 06My Rule

   So my rule is simple. When I travel alone and want to meet people, I choose a hostel. When I'm tired from work and need real rest, I book a hotel.

   所以我的規則很簡單。一個人旅行、想認識新朋友的時候，我選擇青年旅舍。工作累了、需要好好休息的時候，我就訂酒店。
