1. 01I Wanted to Read More Books

   Hello, everyone. For years, I said, "I want to read more books," but I only finished one or two a year. Last year, I finally changed that. Today, I'll explain what was stopping me and what helped.

   大家好。多年來，我一直說「我想多讀點書」，但我一年只能讀完一兩本。去年，我終於改變了這一點。今天，我來說說是什麼阻礙了我，又是什麼幫助了我。

2. 02The Problem

   The problem was simple. I always felt too busy to read, and when I did start a book, I often left it half-read on my desk for months.

   問題很簡單。我總覺得太忙，沒時間讀書；就算開始讀一本書，也常常讀到一半就放在桌上，一放就是好幾個月。

3. 03The Real Causes

   When I looked closer, I found two real causes. First, my phone filled every free minute. Second, I chose books I thought I should read, not books I actually wanted to read.

   仔細一想，我發現了兩個真正的原因。第一，手機佔滿了我所有的空閒時間。第二，我選的是我覺得「應該」讀的書，而不是我真正想讀的書。

4. 04Solution 1: A Book Instead of a Phone

   My first solution was to replace my phone with a book in small moments. I always carry a book in my bag, and I read on the train instead of scrolling.

   我的第一個辦法是，在零碎的時間裡用書代替手機。我的包裡總是放著一本書，坐車的時候我會看書，而不是滑手機。

5. 05Solution 2: Read What I Enjoy

   My second solution was to read what I enjoy. I started with mystery novels and travel stories. I also gave myself permission to stop reading a book if it was boring.

   我的第二個辦法是讀自己喜歡的書。我從推理小說和旅行故事開始。我還允許自己，如果一本書很無聊，就可以不讀了。

6. 06The Result

   The result? Last year, I read fifteen books. More importantly, reading became something I look forward to, not a job on my to-do list.

   結果呢？去年，我讀了15本書。更重要的是，讀書變成了我期待的事情，而不是待辦清單上的一項任務。
