   Hi, everyone. I'm nineteen, and I work at a bakery in Lima. Last month, I got my first paycheck. Let me tell you what I did with it.

   Hola a todos. Tengo diecinueve años y trabajo en una panadería en Lima. El mes pasado recibí mi primer sueldo. Les cuento lo que hice con él.

2. 02Payday

   On payday, I checked my bank account. I saw the money and smiled. I felt very proud, because I worked hard for it.

   El día de pago, revisé mi cuenta bancaria. Vi el dinero y sonreí. Me sentí muy orgullosa, porque trabajé duro para ganarlo.

3. 03A Gift for My Mom

   First, I took my mom to a nice restaurant. She always pays for me, so this time, I paid for her. She was so happy.

   Primero, llevé a mi mamá a un buen restaurante. Ella siempre paga por mí, así que esta vez yo pagué por ella. Estaba muy feliz.

4. 04Saving and Spending

   Then, I saved half of the money. I used a little for new work shoes, because I stand all day at the bakery.

   Después, ahorré la mitad del dinero. Usé un poco para comprar zapatos nuevos para el trabajo, porque paso todo el día de pie en la panadería.

5. 05Conclusion

   My first paycheck was not big, but it was special. Money feels different when you earn it yourself. Thank you for listening.
