  1. 01How I Write a Polite Email at Work

Hello, everyone. I work at a hotel, and I write many emails in English every day. Today, I'll explain how I write a polite email in four easy steps.

  2. 02Step 1: A Clear Subject

First, I write a short, clear subject. For example, "Question about your booking." The reader knows the topic right away.

Primero, escribo un asunto corto y claro. Por ejemplo, "Question about your booking", es decir, "Pregunta sobre su reserva". El lector sabe el tema de inmediato.

  3. 03Step 2: A Friendly Greeting

Then, I start with a greeting, like "Dear Ms. Brown." I often add, "I hope you are well." It sounds warm and polite.

Brown". A menudo agrego "I hope you are well", que significa "Espero que se encuentre bien". Suena cálido y cortés.

  4. 04Step 3: The Main Point

Next, I write the main point in one or two short sentences. When I ask for something, I use "Could you ...?" For example, "Could you tell me your arrival time?"

Cuando pido algo, uso "Could you ...?", que equivale a "¿Podría...?". Por ejemplo, "Could you tell me your arrival time?", es decir, "¿Podría decirme su hora de llegada?".

  5. 05Step 4: A Polite Ending

Finally, I end with "Thank you for your help" and "Best regards." Then I read the email one more time before I send it. Thank you for listening.
