01A Quiet Study Room Open Until 8 p.m.
Good afternoon, everyone. I'm speaking for the student council. We'd like to propose that one classroom stay open as a quiet study room until eight in the evening.
02The Problem
Right now, the library closes at five. But many students can't study well at home. Some share a room with younger siblings, and others have no quiet space at all.
03Our Idea
Our idea is simple. Room 204 would stay open from four to eight, Monday to Thursday. It would be for silent study only, with no talking and no phone calls.
04The Benefits
This would help students who need a calm place, reduce stress before exams, and make things fairer for students whose homes aren't good places to study.
05"Who Will Supervise?"
We know someone needs to supervise. We suggest that teachers take turns, one evening each per month, and student council members help keep the room quiet.
06Start With a Trial
We're asking for a one-term trial. We'll count how many students use the room each evening, and then decide together whether to continue.
07Conclusion
To sum up, one quiet room could make a big difference for many students. We hope you'll support this trial. Thank you for listening.
