1. 01My Proposal: A Language Exchange Club

   Good morning, everyone. Our school has students from many different countries, but we rarely talk to each other. Today, I'd like to propose a new club: a language exchange club.

   大家早上好。我们学校有来自很多不同国家的学生，但我们彼此之间很少交流。今天，我想提议成立一个新社团：语言交换社。

2. 02The Problem

   Right now, most students stay in groups with people who speak the same language. As a result, we have very few chances to practice speaking other languages in real life.

   目前，大多数学生都待在说同一种语言的小圈子里。结果，我们在现实生活中练习说其他语言的机会非常少。

3. 03The Idea

   Here's my idea. We make pairs of students with different first languages. They talk for thirty minutes in one language, and then thirty minutes in the other. Everyone is both a teacher and a learner.

   我的想法是这样的。我们把母语不同的学生两两配对。他们先用一种语言聊三十分钟，再用另一种语言聊三十分钟。每个人既是老师，也是学习者。

4. 04The Benefits

   This club has three benefits. We get free speaking practice, we make friends from other cultures, and our school becomes a friendlier place for everyone.

   这个社团有三个好处。我们可以免费练习口语，结交来自其他文化的朋友，而且我们的学校也会变成一个对每个人都更友好的地方。

5. 05What We Need

   To start, we only need two things: one empty classroom on Wednesday afternoons, and one teacher who is willing to be our advisor.

   要开始，我们只需要两样东西：每周三下午一间空教室，以及一位愿意担任指导老师的老师。

6. 06A Trial Plan

   We don't need to decide everything now. I suggest we try it for one term, ask members for feedback, and then decide whether to continue.

   我们现在不需要把所有事情都定下来。我建议先试行一个学期，听取成员的意见，然后再决定是否继续。

7. 07Conclusion
