1. 01Texting vs. Calling

   Hi, everyone. My mother always calls me, but I almost always reply with a text. She once asked me, "Why don't you ever call?" Today, I'll compare texting and calling, and explain my answer to her.

   大家好。我媽媽總是給我打電話，但我幾乎總是用簡訊回覆她。有一次她問我：「你為什麼從來不打電話？」今天，我來比較一下發資訊和打電話，並說說我給她的回答。

2. 02Texting: Flexible

   The biggest advantage of texting is flexibility. I can answer when I'm ready, even in a meeting or on a train, and I don't interrupt the other person.

   發資訊最大的好處是靈活。我可以在準備好的時候再回復，即使在開會或者坐地鐵的時候也可以，而且不會打擾到對方。

3. 03Texting: Time to Think

   Texting also gives me time to think. I can choose my words carefully, and it's easy to check details later, like addresses or times.

   發資訊還給了我思考的時間。我可以仔細斟酌用詞，之後也很容易檢視地址、時間這樣的細節。

4. 04Calling: Warm and Fast

   On the other hand, calling has its own strengths. Hearing someone's voice feels warmer, and it's easier to understand their feelings. Complicated plans are also faster to solve on the phone.

   另一方面，打電話也有它的長處。聽到對方的聲音感覺更溫暖，也更容易理解對方的感受。複雜的計劃在電話裡也能更快地商量好。

5. 05Side by Side

   When I put them side by side, I see that they're good for different things.

6. 06My Answer to My Mother

   So here's what I told my mother: I text for quick things, like times and places, but I'll call for important things, like big news or when someone needs support. Now I call her every Sunday.

   所以，我是這樣回答我媽媽的：快速的小事，比如時間和地點，我會發資訊；但重要的事，比如有重大訊息，或者有人需要支援的時候，我會打電話。現在，我每個星期天都會給她打電話。

7. 07Conclusion

   In conclusion, neither is always better. Texting is efficient, and calling is personal. The key is choosing the right one for the moment. Which do you prefer? Thank you.
