Hello, everyone. In recent years, many people around the world have started working from home. Today, I'll look at the pros and cons of working from home, and share my own opinion.
皆さん、こんにちは。ここ数年、世界中で多くの人が在宅勤務を始めました。今日は、在宅勤務の良い点と悪い点を見て、私自身の意見もお話しします。
02No More Commuting
Let's begin with the pros. The biggest advantage is no commuting. You save time and money, and you don't have to deal with crowded trains.
まずは良い点から始めましょう。一番のメリットは、通勤がないことです。時間とお金が節約できますし、満員電車に耐える必要もありません。
03Freedom and Focus
Another advantage is freedom. Many people can set their own schedule and focus better without constant interruptions from coworkers.
もう一つのメリットは、自由です。多くの人が自分でスケジュールを決められますし、同僚にしょっちゅう話しかけられることがないので、集中しやすくなります。
04The Cons
On the other hand, there are some cons. Some people feel lonely, and it can be hard to separate work from home life. Teamwork can also be more difficult when you never meet face to face.
一方で、悪い点もあります。さびしく感じる人もいますし、仕事と家での生活を分けるのが難しいこともあります。顔を合わせることがないと、チームワークも難しくなりがちです。
05What Do Workers Want?
So what do workers actually want? When I asked thirty people at my office, the most popular answer was not one or the other, but a mix of both. This is called hybrid work.
では、働く人は実際に何を求めているのでしょうか？私の職場で30人に聞いてみたところ、一番多かった答えは、どちらか一方ではなく、両方を組み合わせることでした。これはハイブリッドワークと呼ばれています。

06Making Hybrid Work
To make hybrid work successful, companies can use office days for teamwork and meetings, and home days for focused work. Clear rules help everyone know what to expect.
ハイブリッドワークをうまくいかせるには、会社は出社の日をチームワークや会議に、在宅の日を集中する仕事に使うことができます。はっきりしたルールがあれば、みんなが何をすればいいか分かります。

In my opinion, the question isn't home or office. It's about finding the right mix for each job and each person. Thank you for listening.
