  1. 01Six Months With a Smartwatch

Hello, everyone. Six months ago, my sister gave me a smartwatch for my birthday. At first, I loved it. Now, I'm not so sure. Today, I'll share its pros and cons.

  2. 02Pro: Moving More

Let's start with the pros. The watch reminds me to stand up and move when I sit for too long. Because of that, I walk much more than before.

  3. 03Pro: Phone Stays in My Bag

Another advantage is that I can glance at a message without taking out my phone. That keeps me from falling into long scrolling sessions.

  4. 04Con: Constant Buzzing

On the downside, the watch buzzes all the time. Every message, every app, every reminder. During meetings, I found it really hard to focus.

  5. 05Con: One More Thing to Charge

It's also one more thing to charge. Twice, I forgot to charge it, and my alarm didn't go off in the morning.

  6. 06What I Changed

So I made some changes. Now, the watch only shows calls and messages from my family, and I use focus mode at work. It feels much calmer.

  7. 07Conclusion

In conclusion, a smartwatch can be helpful or distracting. The difference is in the settings. If you have one, take five minutes to turn off what you don't need. Thank you.
