  1. 01Three Things You Must Try in Istanbul

Hi, everyone. Last spring, I spent a week in Istanbul, and it quickly became one of my favorite cities. Today, I'll introduce three things you must try if you go there.

  2. 02A City on Two Continents

First, some background. Istanbul is a city on two continents. The Bosphorus, a narrow strait, runs through the city, with Europe on one side and Asia on the other.

  3. 031. Take a Ferry

The first thing to try is a ferry ride. Local ferries cross between Europe and Asia all day. I loved sitting on the deck with a small glass of tea, watching the seagulls follow the boat.

  4. 042. Eat a Fish Sandwich

The second thing is food. Near the water, you can buy a simple sandwich of grilled fish, onions, and lettuce. It's cheap, fresh, and tastes even better with the sea breeze.

  5. 053. Get Lost in a Bazaar

The third thing is to get lost in a bazaar. The narrow streets are full of spices, colorful lamps, and carpets. Sellers will invite you in for tea, even if you don't buy anything.

  6. 06One Tip

One tip before you go: wear comfortable shoes. Istanbul has many hills, and the best way to discover it is on foot.

  7. 07Conclusion

So, take a ferry, eat a fish sandwich, and get lost in a bazaar. If you do these three things, you'll understand why I want to go back. Thank you.
