1. 01The Airline Lost My Suitcase

   Hi, everyone. Last year, I flew from Manila to Rome for a friend's wedding. When I arrived, everyone got their bags except me. My suitcase was lost. Today, I'll tell you what I did, and what I learned.

   大家好。去年，我从马尼拉飞到罗马，去参加一个朋友的婚礼。到了之后，除了我，每个人都拿到了行李。我的行李箱丢了。今天，我来讲讲我是怎么做的，以及我学到了什么。

2. 02The Problem

   The problem was serious. My suit for the wedding was in that suitcase, and the wedding was only two days later.

   问题很严重。我参加婚礼穿的西装就在那个行李箱里，而婚礼就在两天后。

3. 03Step 1: Report It Before Leaving

   First, I went straight to the airline's baggage desk before leaving the airport. I filled out a form and got a reference number. That number turned out to be very important.

   首先，在离开机场之前，我直接去了航空公司的行李服务台。我填了一张表，拿到了一个查询编号。后来发现，这个编号非常重要。

4. 04Step 2: Ask About Costs

   Next, I asked, "Can I buy basic things I need, and will the airline pay me back?" They explained the rules, so I bought a toothbrush, a shirt, and a simple suit, and I kept every receipt.

   接着，我问：“我可以买一些必需的基本用品吗？航空公司会给我报销吗？”他们给我解释了规定，于是我买了一把牙刷、一件衬衫和一套简单的西装，并且保留了每一张收据。

5. 05Step 3: Follow Up Every Day

   Then, I checked the status online every morning and called once a day. I was always polite, even when I was frustrated. On the third day, my suitcase arrived at my hotel.

   然后，我每天早上都在网上查看进度，每天打一次电话。即使心里很着急，我也一直保持礼貌。第三天，我的行李箱送到了酒店。

6. 06What I Do Now

   Now I pack differently. I keep one change of clothes and important items in my carry-on bag, I take a photo of my suitcase, and I put my name and phone number inside and outside it.

   现在，我收拾行李的方式不一样了。我会在随身行李里放一套换洗衣服和重要物品，给行李箱拍张照片，并在箱子里外都写上我的名字和电话号码。

7. 07Conclusion

   In conclusion, losing a suitcase is stressful, but you can handle it. Report it fast, stay calm, and pack smart next time. And yes, I made it to the wedding in time. Thank you.
