01New Year's Day in Japan
Hello, everyone. In Japan, New Year's Day is a very special day. Today, I'll tell you what my family does on January first.
大家好。在日本，元旦是非常特别的一天。今天，我来讲讲我们家在一月一日都做些什么。
02In the Morning
In the morning, we say "Happy New Year" to each other. Then we eat osechi. Osechi is a special New Year's meal in beautiful boxes.
早上，我们互相说“新年快乐”。然后我们吃御节料理。御节料理是装在漂亮盒子里的新年特别料理。
03Around Noon
Around noon, we visit a shrine near our house. We pray for a good year. I also buy a small paper fortune to see my luck.
中午前后，我们会去家附近的神社参拜。我们祈求新的一年顺顺利利。我还会买一张小小的纸签来看看自己的运气。
04In the Afternoon
In the afternoon, we read New Year's cards from our friends. Children also get otoshidama. It is a gift of money in a small envelope.
下午，我们会看朋友们寄来的贺年卡。孩子们还会收到压岁钱。压岁钱是装在小信封里的钱，是一份礼物。
