1. 01AI in Schools: The Case For

   Good morning, everyone. Many schools are worried about students using AI to do their homework, and some want to ban it completely. Today, I'll argue that schools should welcome AI and teach students to use it well.

   大家早安。很多學校擔心學生用AI寫作業，有些學校甚至想全面禁止。今天，我要主張的是：學校應該接納AI，並教導學生好好使用它。

2. 02AI Is Already Everywhere

   First of all, AI is already part of daily life. It's in our phones, our search engines, and the tools many adults use at work. Banning it at school won't make it disappear.

   首先，AI早就是日常生活的一部分了。它就在我們的手機裡、搜尋引擎裡，還有很多大人上班時使用的工具裡。在學校禁止它，並不會讓它消失。

3. 03A Personal Tutor for Everyone

   Second, AI can act like a personal tutor. It can explain a difficult idea in several different ways and answer questions at any time. Not every family can pay for a private teacher, so this could make learning fairer.

   第二，AI可以像一位私人家教。它能用好幾種不同的方式解釋困難的概念，而且隨時都能回答問題。不是每個家庭都請得起家教，所以這能讓學習變得更公平。

4. 04Skills for the Future

   Third, knowing how to use AI is becoming an important skill. In the future, the most valuable skills may be asking good questions and checking whether an answer is true. Schools are the best place to learn these skills.

   第三，懂得使用AI正在成為一項重要的能力。未來，最有價值的能力，可能是提出好的問題，以及判斷一個答案是不是真的。學校就是學習這些能力最好的地方。

5. 05What About Cheating?

   Of course, some students will use AI to cheat. But the answer is to change how we test, not to ban the tool. For example, teachers can use more presentations, discussions, and projects done in class.

   當然，有些學生會用AI作弊。但解決的辦法是改變評量的方式，而不是禁止這項工具。例如，老師可以多安排在課堂上完成的上台報告、討論和專題。

6. 06Clear Rules

   To make this work, schools need clear rules. Teachers can explain how AI works, say when it is allowed, and ask students to show their thinking process.

   要讓這個做法成功，學校需要明確的規則。老師可以說明AI是怎麼運作的、什麼時候可以使用，並要求學生呈現自己的思考過程。

7. 07My Position

   My position is clear: hiding AI from students will not prepare them for the real world. Teaching them to use it wisely will.

   我的立場很明確：把AI藏起來不讓學生碰，並不能幫他們為真實世界做好準備。教他們聰明地使用它，才能做到。

8. 08Conclusion

   In conclusion, students will meet AI sooner or later. The only question is whether they learn to use it on their own or with a teacher's help. I believe school is the right place. Thank you.
