   Hello, everyone. I'm a father of three and a factory worker in Manchester. Feeding five people isn't cheap, so my wife and I built a weekly routine. Let me walk you through it.

   Hola a todos. Soy padre de tres hijos y trabajo en una fábrica en Mánchester. Alimentar a cinco personas no es barato, así que mi esposa y yo creamos una rutina semanal. Les explico cómo funciona.

2. 02Saturday Morning: Check the Fridge

   Every Saturday morning, we start by checking the fridge and cupboards. Whatever we already have becomes the base of next week's meals. That way, nothing gets forgotten at the back.

3. 03Saturday: Plan Seven Dinners

   Next, we plan seven dinners. Each of our kids chooses one meal, so they complain less. We try to repeat ingredients, for example, using one big bag of carrots in three different dishes.

   On Sunday, I do one big shopping trip with a list. I stick to the list, I buy store brands, and I never shop when I'm hungry. Extra trips during the week always cost more.

5. 05Sunday Evening: Cook Double

   On Sunday evening, we cook one big pot of soup or stew and freeze half of it. On busy nights, we just heat it up instead of ordering takeout.

   El domingo por la noche, cocinamos una olla grande de sopa o guiso y congelamos la mitad. En las noches ocupadas, simplemente la calentamos en lugar de pedir comida para llevar.

6. 06Every Night: Leftovers for Lunch

   Finally, every night after dinner, we pack the leftovers into lunch boxes for the next day. It saves money, and honestly, curry tastes better the next day anyway.

   Por último, cada noche después de cenar, guardamos las sobras en recipientes para el almuerzo del día siguiente. Ahorramos dinero y, sinceramente, el curry sabe mejor al día siguiente de todos modos.

   In conclusion, our routine is simple: plan, shop once, and cook double. It takes a little time on the weekend, but it makes the whole week calmer and cheaper. Thank you.
