A proposal for our apartment

Hey, everyone. Thanks for sitting down with me. I'm a nursing student, and as you know, the four of us share this apartment. I'd like to propose something that I think will make life easier for all of us: a weekly chore chart.

  1. 01A Weekly Chore Chart

Hey, everyone. Thanks for sitting down with me. I'm a nursing student, and as you know, the four of us share this apartment. I'd like to propose something that I think will make life easier for all of us: a weekly chore chart.

  2. 02The Problem

I don't want to blame anyone, because I'm part of the problem too. But lately, dishes pile up in the sink, we missed trash day twice, and the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in weeks.

  3. 03Why It Happens

I think it happens because nobody knows whose turn it is. Everyone assumes someone else will do it, so in the end, nobody does.

  4. 04My Plan

Here's my plan. We have four main jobs: kitchen, bathroom, floors, and trash. Each of us takes one job per week, and we rotate every Monday. The chart goes on the fridge.

  5. 05Being Flexible

Of course, we can be flexible. If you have exams or a long shift, just swap with someone and write it on the chart. The point is that everyone knows who's doing what.

  6. 06What We Get

If we try this, I think we'll get a cleaner apartment and, more importantly, fewer awkward arguments. Nobody has to remind anyone, because the chart does it for us.

  7. 07Conclusion

So, how about we try it for one month and then talk again? If it doesn't work, we can change it. What do you all think?
