1. 01Free Walking Tours by Local Students

   Good afternoon. I'm a university student studying tourism in Porto. Today, I'd like to propose a project to the city tourism office: free walking tours of the old town, led by local students.

2. 02The Problem

   Right now, many visitors only see the same three famous spots and leave. At the same time, students like me need real work experience, and speaking practice in English and other languages.

   ตอนนี้ นักท่องเที่ยวหลายคนเห็นแค่สามจุดดังเดิม ๆ แล้วก็กลับไป ในขณะเดียวกัน นักศึกษาอย่างฉันก็ต้องการประสบการณ์การทำงานจริง และการฝึกพูดภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาอื่น ๆ

3. 03The Idea

   Here's the idea. Students would lead two-hour walking tours on weekends. Instead of only the famous sights, we'd show hidden streets, family-run shops, and share stories from our own lives here.

   ไอเดียคือแบบนี้ นักศึกษาจะนำทัวร์เดินเท้าสองชั่วโมงในวันหยุดสุดสัปดาห์ แทนที่จะพาไปแค่สถานที่ดัง ๆ เราจะพาไปดูตรอกซอกซอยที่ซ่อนอยู่ ร้านของครอบครัว และเล่าเรื่องราวจากชีวิตของเราเองที่นี่

4. 04Benefits for Everyone

   This would benefit everyone. Visitors get a real local view. Students gain experience and language practice. And small shops off the main streets get more customers.

   ทุกฝ่ายจะได้ประโยชน์ นักท่องเที่ยวได้มุมมองแบบคนท้องถิ่นจริง ๆ นักศึกษาได้ประสบการณ์และฝึกภาษา และร้านเล็ก ๆ นอกถนนสายหลักก็ได้ลูกค้ามากขึ้น

5. 05How It Would Work

   Here's how it would work. The tourism office would give students a short training course. Visitors would book online for free, and if they enjoyed the tour, they could leave a tip.

6. 06Possible Concerns

   Of course, there are concerns. To keep the quality high, visitors could rate each tour. And to protect quiet neighborhoods, groups would be small, with no more than twelve people.

   In conclusion, student walking tours are low-cost and good for visitors, students, and local businesses. I'd like to suggest a three-month trial this summer. Thank you for listening.
