01Why I Left My Bank Job to Become a Designer
Good afternoon, everyone. For seven years, I worked at a bank. Then, at thirty, I quit and became a web designer. Today, I'd like to explain why I made this change and what I learned.
02My Old Job
My bank job was stable, and the salary was good. But I did the same tasks every day, and I rarely felt excited about my work.
03The Turning Point
The turning point came when a friend asked me to make a website for her café. I worked on it every night, and I completely lost track of time. I realized I loved creating things.
04Preparing for the Change
I didn't quit right away. First, I studied design at night for a year. Then I built a small portfolio and saved enough money to live for six months.
05The Hard Parts
The first year was not easy. I earned less money than before, and I had to learn new skills all the time. Sometimes I wondered if I had made a mistake.
06Was It Worth It?
Three years later, I can say it was worth it. I enjoy my work, and I feel like I'm growing every day.
07Conclusion
My advice is this: it's never too late to change careers, but prepare carefully before you jump. Thank you for listening.
