  1. 01Why I Took a Break From Social Media

Hi, everyone. How many hours a day do you spend on social media? A few months ago, I realized I was spending over four hours a day on my phone. So I decided to take a thirty-day break.

  2. 02Why I Decided to Stop

I had three reasons. First, I was wasting a lot of time. Second, I found it hard to focus on my studies. Third, I kept comparing my life to other people's perfect photos.

  3. 03The First Week

The first week was harder than I expected. I picked up my phone again and again out of habit. I felt bored and even a little anxious.

  4. 04What I Did Instead

Instead of scrolling, I filled my time with other things. I read books, went for walks, and called my friends instead of sending messages.

  5. 05What Changed

After thirty days, the difference was clear. I used my phone for less than an hour a day. I slept better, and I could focus for much longer.

  6. 06Going Back, With Rules

Now I use social media again, but with some rules. I don't take my phone to bed, I check social media only once a day, and I turned off most notifications.

  7. 07Conclusion

In the end, I learned that social media is just a tool. It can be useful, but we need to control it, not the other way around. Why not try a short break yourself? Thank you.
