1. 01A Road Trip With My Grandparents

   Hi, everyone. I'm a university student in Texas. Last summer, I drove my grandparents to visit their hometown, five hours away. We spent five days together in one small car. Honestly, I wasn't excited at first.

   大家好。我是得克萨斯州的一名大学生。去年夏天，我开车带爷爷奶奶回了一趟他们的老家，车程五个小时。我们在一辆小车里一起待了五天。说实话，一开始我并不怎么期待。

2. 02My Usual Travel Style

   Usually, I travel fast. I try to see as many places as possible, take lots of photos, and I'm always thinking about the next stop.

   平时我旅行节奏很快。我会尽量多去几个地方，拍很多照片，而且总是在想下一站去哪里。

3. 03Their Travel Style

   My grandparents were completely different. They wanted to stop every hour, drink coffee, and chat with strangers at gas stations. At first, it drove me crazy.

   我爷爷奶奶完全不一样。他们每过一个小时就想停下来，喝杯咖啡，在加油站和陌生人聊天。一开始，这让我快抓狂了。

4. 04The Turning Point

   The turning point came at a small café in their hometown. My grandfather pointed to the street and said, "This is where I met your grandmother." Then they told stories I had never heard before.

   转折点出现在他们老家的一家小咖啡馆里。爷爷指着街道说：“我就是在这里遇见你奶奶的。”接着，他们讲了很多我从来没听过的故事。

5. 05What I Noticed

   I realized that, because we went slowly, we noticed more. We talked to people, we laughed, and I learned about my own family history. I took fewer photos, but I have better memories.

   我意识到，正因为我们走得慢，才注意到了更多。我们和人聊天，一起欢笑，我也了解了自己家族的历史。我拍的照片少了，但留下的回忆更美好了。

6. 06How I Travel Now

   Now, I travel differently. I choose fewer places and stay longer in each one. And whenever I can, I take time to talk with the locals.

   现在，我旅行的方式不一样了。我会少去几个地方，在每个地方多待一段时间。而且只要有机会，我都会花时间和当地人聊聊。

   In conclusion, I thought I was helping my grandparents on that trip, but they ended up teaching me. If you can, take a trip with an older family member. Thank you.
