1. 01A Road Trip With My Grandparents

   Hi, everyone. I'm a university student in Texas. Last summer, I drove my grandparents to visit their hometown, five hours away. We spent five days together in one small car. Honestly, I wasn't excited at first.

   大家好。我是得克薩斯州的一名大學生。去年夏天，我開車帶爺爺奶奶回了一趟他們的老家，車程五個小時。我們在一輛小車裡一起待了五天。說實話，一開始我並不怎麼期待。

2. 02My Usual Travel Style

   Usually, I travel fast. I try to see as many places as possible, take lots of photos, and I'm always thinking about the next stop.

   平時我旅行節奏很快。我會盡量多去幾個地方，拍很多照片，而且總是在想下一站去哪裡。

3. 03Their Travel Style

   My grandparents were completely different. They wanted to stop every hour, drink coffee, and chat with strangers at gas stations. At first, it drove me crazy.

   我爺爺奶奶完全不一樣。他們每過一個小時就想停下來，喝杯咖啡，在加油站和陌生人聊天。一開始，這讓我快抓狂了。

4. 04The Turning Point

   The turning point came at a small café in their hometown. My grandfather pointed to the street and said, "This is where I met your grandmother." Then they told stories I had never heard before.

   轉折點出現在他們老家的一家小咖啡館裡。爺爺指著街道說：「我就是在這裡遇見你奶奶的。」接著，他們講了很多我從來沒聽過的故事。

5. 05What I Noticed

   I realized that, because we went slowly, we noticed more. We talked to people, we laughed, and I learned about my own family history. I took fewer photos, but I have better memories.

   我意識到，正因為我們走得慢，才注意到了更多。我們和人聊天，一起歡笑，我也瞭解了自己家族的歷史。我拍的照片少了，但留下的回憶更美好了。

6. 06How I Travel Now

   Now, I travel differently. I choose fewer places and stay longer in each one. And whenever I can, I take time to talk with the locals.

   現在，我旅行的方式不一樣了。我會少去幾個地方，在每個地方多待一段時間。而且只要有機會，我都會花時間和當地人聊聊。

   In conclusion, I thought I was helping my grandparents on that trip, but they ended up teaching me. If you can, take a trip with an older family member. Thank you.
